FAQs Dog-Gone Good Questions
Questions? We've Got Answers.
-
We believe consistent grooming every month is what's best for your dog's health, comfort, and coat quality. Memberships ensure your pup never goes too long without care—and it removes the stress of remembering to book appointments. You get convenience. Your dog gets consistency. Everybody wins.
However, we do offer non-membership grooms on a case-by-case basis at a premium rate. -
We prioritize members for route efficiency and pup health. However, we do offer Nails on Wheels on Saturdays at local dog parks (no membership required). Check our website for weekly locations.
-
Great question! Every dog's coat is different. Some need just a quick trim around the eyes and paws (included in membership), while others need extensive styling. Charging by the minute ensures you only pay for what your dog actually needs—and members save $60/hour on additional haircutting.
-
Yes—Nails on Wheels is quick, efficient, and great for multi-pet homes.
-
Yes. We’re fully self-contained and groom curbside.
-
Absolutely. Senior/anxious pets greatly benefit from the trusted bond that is formed with their pet care professional through the consistency of monthly maintenance and familiarity with each step of the grooming.
Our mobile grooming is specifically designed for dogs who struggle in traditional salons. With no other dogs around, no chaotic noise, and one-on-one attention in a calm environment, most anxious dogs do significantly better with us. We also have over 10 years of experience handling nervous and reactive pets with patience and care. -
We'll give you an estimate based on your dog's breed, coat type, and desired style during your consultation. After your first appointment, we'll have a precise understanding of your dog's needs and can provide even more accurate pricing going forward.

Most full grooming appointments take 60-90 minutes, depending on your dog's size and coat. You can go about your day—we'll text when we're done!
Many of our clients leave for work or errands while we groom. As long as we can access your dog, your driveway, and have a safe place to return your dog, we're good. -
We currently service Lago Vista, Jonestown, Leander, Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, Bertram, and Burnet.
Every groom is based on our monthly routes. Not sure if you're in our service area? Contact us and we'll confirm! -

Because we operate on a membership route system, we typically have limited availability. The sooner you reach out, the sooner we can get you on our schedule. Once you're a member, your spot is permanently reserved—you'll never have to book again.
-
Our pricing is competitive with high-quality salons, but you're getting so much more: convenience (we come to you), consistency (automatic recurring appointments), reduced stress for your dog (private mobile spaw), and premium products and expertise. Most clients find the value far exceeds the investment.

You get convenience. Your dog gets consistency. Everybody wins.
-
You join for a full year, and we assign you a permanent spot on our grooming route. We show up at your home every month on the same day/time. Your membership auto-renews annually, ensuring your spot stays reserved.

Haircutting is charged by the minute beyond the hygienic trimming included in your membership. During your consultation, we'll estimate how long your dog's desired style typically takes. After your first appointment, you'll know exactly what to expect each month.
-
No problem! We'll guide you through options, show photos, and make recommendations based on your dog's breed, coat type, and lifestyle. We're experts at helping you choose a style you'll love.
-
Most full grooming appointments with haircutting take 90-120 minutes, depending on your dog's size, coat condition, and style. We stay parked in your driveway the entire time and text you when finished.

Absolutely! Just let us know before your appointment and we'll adjust their style. Because we see your dog every month, we can gradually transition styles or make changes anytime.

FAQs- Cat Grooming
Questions? We've Got Answers.
-
We absolutely groom cats—and we specialize in feline care! Our groomers are seasoned professionals trained in safe cat handling techniques and feline behavior. We understand cats are different from dogs and require specialized knowledge, patience, and respect. While some cats are challenging, we're experienced in working with all temperaments.
-
Mobile grooming is ideal for anxious cats because they stay home in their safe environment with no other animals around. However, we're realistic: not every cat will tolerate grooming immediately. We may need to take baby steps over multiple sessions, building trust gradually. If your cat becomes unsafe to groom, we'll pause and bring them inside—safety always comes first.
-
We use safe handling techniques, respect your cat's boundaries, and never force them beyond their comfort level. We groom one cat at a time in a calm, controlled environment. If at any point grooming becomes unsafe for your cat or our groomer, we stop immediately.
-
No. We do not sedate cats—that's a veterinary procedure. We work with your cat's natural temperament and use patience, trust-building, and expert handling techniques.
-
That's okay! Some cats need several sessions to build trust. We'll do what your cat allows during each appointment—even if that means just nail trimming and brushing at first. Over time with monthly consistency, most cats become more tolerant.
-
Most appointments take 60-90 minutes depending on services needed and your cat's temperament. We never rush—your cat's comfort determines the pace.
-
We recommend being home for cat grooming appointments, especially initially. Cats feel more secure when their owner is nearby, and you can help if your cat needs reassurance.
-
All cat breeds! Domestic shorthairs, Persians, Maine Coons, Ragdolls, Siamese, Bengals, Norwegian Forest Cats—we have experience with every type of feline.
-
Yes! Lion cuts, teddy bear styles, and sanitary trims are all options. However, we cannot guarantee perfection—cats don't always cooperate with extended haircutting. We'll do our absolute best within your cat's tolerance level.
-
Cats require specialized handling, more time, and increased risk for groomers. Many cats are more challenging to groom than dogs, and finding experienced feline groomers is rare. Our pricing reflects the expertise, patience, and care required to groom cats safely and humanely.
-
Monthly grooming is ideal for maintaining coat health, preventing matting, reducing allergens, and building grooming tolerance. Cats on monthly maintenance plans experience less stress and better results.
-
We use only premium, cat-safe shampoos and products specifically formulated for feline skin and pH balance. Never dog products or human products—only the best for cats.
-
Yes! Long-haired breeds especially benefit from regular grooming to prevent painful matting. Larger breeds like Maine Coons and Ragdolls may have adjusted pricing due to their size.
-
We'll assess the matting and work carefully to remove it. Severe matting may require shaving, which we'll discuss with you. Regular monthly grooming prevents matting from occurring in the first place.
-
Yes! Regular bathing removes the saliva allergens and dander from your cat's coat, significantly reducing allergens in your home. Many of our clients with cat allergies notice dramatic improvement with monthly grooming.scription
-
We keep our grooming environment exceptionally safe and sanitary. Because pets never come into contact with each other during appointments and all tools, surfaces, and equipment are fully sanitized between every groom, we do not require general vaccinations for grooming services.
However, rabies vaccination is required by Texas state law for all cats and dogs, and we must follow that mandate.
We always encourage pet parents to consult with their veterinarian about any additional vaccines that may benefit their individual pet. For families exploring a more natural or alternative approach, titer testing is also a helpful option to discuss with your vet.
