Dog Heart Grooming was built on a simple belief: dogs deserve better.
Founded in 2015, Dog Heart Grooming exists to provide a level of care that goes beyond traditional grooming. While many grooming environments focus on volume, speed, and convenience, our mission has always been different. We believe every dog deserves to be treated as an individual—not a number on a schedule.
Our foundation is built on faith, stewardship, and a genuine love for both pets and the people who love them. We believe grooming is about far more than appearance. It is an essential part of a dog’s health, comfort, confidence, and overall quality of life. Every appointment is an opportunity to care for a living creature entrusted to us and to serve the families who place their trust in our hands.
At Dog Heart Grooming, quality will always come before quantity. We intentionally operate with a one-on-one approach that allows us to focus on each dog’s unique needs while minimizing stress and creating a calm, personalized experience. Whether we are maintaining a healthy coat, helping a senior pet remain comfortable, supporting a dog with skin concerns, or patiently working with a fearful pet, our goal remains the same: to help every dog look and feel their furry best.
Our company is guided by two foundational principles found in Scripture: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart” (Colossians 3:23) and “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14). These values shape the way we care for pets, educate clients, support one another as a team, and conduct business with integrity.

STEPHANIE ERVIN
Pet Stylist , Administrative Lead & Creative SupportStephanie has been part of the Dog Heart Grooming family since 2021 and brings over a decade of professional pet-care experience. She wears many hats — from client communications and admin support to part-time pet styling, content creation, and staying current with industry standards.
Driven by her Christian faith and a lifelong love for God’s creatures, Stephanie believes every pet is uniquely created and deserves care rooted in love, integrity, and holistic well-being. She especially values the one-on-one time DHG’s structure provides, allowing her to help each pet feel safe, healthy, and genuinely cherished.
With a creative background in art and photography, plus ongoing studies in business and marketing, Stephanie brings a thoughtful, quality-focused perspective to the team. And if your pups ever need a trusted sitter, she also runs Virtuous Pet Care — her own, faith-rooted pet-sitting company built on the basis of doing what she loves most…caring for animals. FounderElaina believes that everything entrusted to her—whether a dog, a business, a family, or a homestead—deserves to be cared for with excellence, compassion, and integrity.
Guided by her Christian faith, Elaina has spent more than a decade building a life centered around serving others well and being a faithful steward of the responsibilities God has placed in her hands. While she is known professionally as the founder and owner of Dog Heart Grooming, those closest to her know that her passion runs much deeper than grooming alone. She is driven by a desire to leave every person, animal, and situation better than she found it.
Her journey into grooming began in 2012 after a season of uncertainty that ultimately became a defining moment in her faith. After finding herself at a crossroads in life, she prayed a simple prayer asking God to show her the path He wanted her to take. What followed was an unexpected introduction to the world of professional dog grooming—a career that would eventually become one of her greatest passions and the foundation for the business she would later build.
As a Certified Professional Pet Stylist, certified in K9 CPR and First Aid, award-winning competitor, and industry leader, Elaina has dedicated her career to raising the standard of pet care. She founded Dog Heart Grooming with a vision of creating something different from the traditional grooming experience: a place where quality would never be sacrificed for quantity, where pets would be cared for one-on-one, and where health, education, attention to detail, and genuine relationships would always come first.
While she loves the artistry of grooming, what truly fuels her passion is the relationship between the pet, the owner, and the groomer. She believes grooming is about far more than appearances. It is about health, comfort, trust, and helping dogs live happier lives. Whether she is working with a senior pet, helping rehabilitate a fearful dog, addressing chronic skin concerns, or teaching owners how to better care for their companions, her goal remains the same: to help every dog look and feel their furry best.
Her faith influences every aspect of her life and business. One of the foundational scriptures of Dog Heart Grooming is 1 Corinthians 16:14: “Let all that you do be done in love.” It serves as a daily reminder that every dog deserves patience, compassion, kindness, and respect. Elaina strives to treat every animal as one of God’s creations and every client as someone who has entrusted her with something precious.
Outside of work, Elaina is a devoted wife to her husband Devin and mother to Evelyn and Warren. Together, they are building a family, a business, and a homestead rooted in faith and purpose. When she is not grooming, you can usually find her tending her garden, caring for her many animals, cooking from scratch, studying theology, or working on one of the countless projects that come with homestead life.
At her core, Elaina is a builder. She builds businesses, relationships, opportunities, and communities. She believes that excellence matters, integrity matters, and that even the smallest acts of care can make a lasting difference. Above all, she strives to be a light in a world that desperately needs more compassion, more hope, and more people willing to serve others with love.
Co-Owner + Bath SpecialistDevin has been grooming professionally since 2018 and brings a unique blend of hands-on experience, patience, and attention to detail to every pet he cares for.
His love for dogs started long before Dog Heart Grooming. Growing up, Devin was responsible for the care and hygiene of four heavily coated family dogs—including Border Collies, a Bernese Mountain Dog, and a Chow Chow. Years of bathing, brushing, and managing endless amounts of fur taught him the importance of proper coat care and gave him a deep appreciation for double-coated breeds.
After serving in the United States Navy, Devin pursued entrepreneurship through a leathercraft business. As he spent more time helping his wife grow Dog Heart Grooming, he discovered a passion for the grooming industry and decided to focus his efforts on helping build the luxury grooming brand clients know today.
Devin’s grooming philosophy is simple: work with the dog, not against them. He believes understanding canine behavior and psychology is the foundation of a successful grooming experience. His goal is to accomplish as much as possible while respecting each pet’s individual limits, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the process.
One of the most rewarding parts of grooming for Devin is helping dogs feel better. Throughout his career, he has discovered painful mats hidden between paw pads, embedded stickers and debris, overgrown nails, ticks, skin issues, dental concerns, and other problems that owners may not have noticed. Knowing he has helped relieve discomfort and improve a dog’s quality of life is what drives him every day.
Devin is especially fond of double-coated breeds and takes pride in his diligence and attention to detail. Professionally, he is most proud of helping rehabilitate fearful, aggressive, or difficult dogs and watching them gradually learn to trust the grooming process.
His Christian faith influences the way he approaches both pets and people. Even on difficult days, he strives to treat every client and every pet with kindness, patience, respect, and love. One of the guiding principles in his life comes from Scripture: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7).
Outside of grooming, Devin enjoys building, fixing, and creating. Whether he’s rebuilding engines, repairing equipment, working on motorcycles, practicing leathercraft, or constructing projects around the homestead, he loves solving problems with his hands. He recently built a goat barn for the family’s herd and is often found tackling the next repair or improvement project.
When clients learn more about Devin, they’re often surprised by the family’s busy homestead life. Along with their dog, they care for goats, ducks, chickens, turkeys, and many other animals—giving him firsthand experience with animal care well beyond the grooming table.
